About

The England Parkinson’s Disease Golf Society (EPDGS), in close association with Sports Parkinson’s, was officially formed on the 6th November 2023 with the intention of providing access to exercise opportunities for golfers with Parkinson’s Disease to help improve their lives, alleviate symptoms and connect with an ever increasing Parkinson’s Disease community.

To enable these objectives to be achieved the EPDGS will identify and organize annual golfing events throughout England that will enhance and build on the momentum Sports Parkinson’s has achieved whilst further exploring and developing opportunities within the UK and overseas.

The England Parkinson’s Disease Golf Society (EPDGS) is an inclusive organization who’s membership reflect that policy and who welcome all players diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and their supporting partners/carers.

When and how much do I need to pay?

An annual subscription of £75 will be required prior to 31st March of each year with individual event payments made as required. Bank transfer details available from the Treasurer.

Can I only be a member if I have Parkinson’s Disease?

The EPDGS is primarily for people with Parkinson’s, but partners and carers who do not have Parkinson’s and who play golf may join and take part in the EPDGS events upon payment of the annual subscription fee and relevant event costs. Non-playing partners and carers do not need to pay an annual subscription but to enable support for the EPDGS member may attend EPDGS events in a social capacity at their own cost.
